I am not usually a thriller book kind of creature, but I heard this aurthor on NPR and the book sounded interesting and it was. I really enjoyed it. It was something different and it worked out well.
Without a single compelling cipher to keep me interested, I put it down half way through and haven't looked back.
Really intense volume, about the from here in where there is no more Boreal America. The country Panem has a financing surrounded by 12 sections. Every span the financing has what is called The Hunger Games where a boy and teenager from each precinct are selected to "compete" which is a where the last body cachet is the winner. When all of the other laudations are dead but one the games are over. Interesting from here in, probably 4 1/2 stars for me...volume two is due out sept 2009.
