This sew up is fabulous, especially if you have a penchant for poetry/literature and if you love Oregon hooey (think David James Duncan). He even craftily incorporates some magical reality at bits, which I usually dislike. The characters were very real to me but I don't suppose it hurts that I read part of it on the Oregon Bank and spent a substantial quantum of time in Astoria a few years ago. Like Megan, I'll have to add this to "texts that made me cry in public" (not many, honest!). I don't even remember which part, but I just remember it was written with such honesty and glamor that I couldn't help but get misty. Erin and Marissa, I can't help but think that you will have to love it.

Literal underdog to wonderdog cock-and-bull story. Loved it! Principal for boys or teenagers.

I am scared of myself for enjoying this paperback! Kind of the next crop's Cheat's Dice - but with consultations of real athletes in the assiduity! The consultations are the best allotment - the fragment on global macro *assay* is a tad tame and general.
