Ghoulish but unconvincing marchen about a severely wheezing boy who can sense the dead. Hoist's widowed mother decides, for not very plausible ideas, to move with her offspring to an isolated old mansion. House turns out to be haunted (no surprise there) by the ravenous Shadow Mother and the trapped souls of her soft touches. I found the after-death features of the story least satisfactory.

Sweet and funny. Just how I like the Coda boys. Can't wait for Paris A to Z.

this was a good time read. I love back in time exercises and this was perfect with a man from the revolution coming to our time and needing to get back dwelling. it is the type of quarto that would make a great Indication Entranceway of fame movie.

Absolutely chilling and suspenseful at every turn. This book deserved the many awards it received.

If you enjoyed Stieg Larrson's Millenium Triad, then you will enjoy this psychological confusion. No criminals from me-I was very pleasantly surprised by this book and totally engaged in reading it.
