Holy cow, I devoured this book in almost one sitting. It's not your traditional gripping book, but it just felt right to keep going. There's a flow to to that encourages one to just not stop until the beeps run out. Loved the book and will probably buy it (a rare confirmation on my budget, let me tell you) so I can reread as often as I plan to. The majority I think is how the essayist didn't make ANY flat characters. Even the bullies and the "bad guys" have dilemmas and think throughs that obtain you see where they're coming from. And some of the "good guys" aren't so definite either. Not many essayists are as careful as Crutcher has been to make no black and white cameos (and not as many as probably should for sure). Which is in total keeping with the book's motif so I approve heartily. Basically, go read this book. Especially if you're searching for truth. This book may not have your truth in it for you, but it will sure light a ardor under your tail in your search for it.
