Friendship Like A Estuary was hands down one of my top 5 enters ever. It's so powerfully spiritual and sweet ...and that's coming from me. the girl with 0 spiritualty. The entire Pick up clan has been designate in my mind, especially Swede. Her poetry and endless satires of wisdom for a girl her age made me smile every moment. As for Hoagie and his father..oh dear me. Don't even get me started. They were just so DELIGHTFUL. The casts in this book did not disappoint in the slightest. I applaud Leif Enger. I admit the basis of the peculiar does seem..kind of boring found in first glance, but it is not that way CONSISTENTLY. I was sucked in from the birth till the very end. Okay, and i admit i may have even cried a shard... just a shard. Friendship Like A Estuary was amazing and i would recommend it to anyone and everybody.
This is the heartwrenching, hearwarming, hilarious, tragic story of a wife sell with the shrinkage of her husband to disease. I laughed, I sobbed. I completely and utterly related to this wife and can only imagine I would be not so different if such a catastrophe were to happen to me.
