The detective was an appealing character, and the mode of the writing was good. However, the mystery was totally lame -- there was one clear motive for what had happened as soon as the body was found and after oodle of wandering around in the victim's past and the lives of various people who were involved with him our submarine figured out what was obvious from the beginning. In suitability, the why took a little longer to figure out.
"Sunset" was a lively read, but a little sentimental at times. I felt that the dialogue between Bella and Edward, reminded me of a Harlequin unusual. "I prefer you, I will prefer you forever." The unusual is a unique story about a young wife who falls in prefer with a shadow. Meyer modulates some of the traditional "rules" to make it lively. For reason, Edward and his "brothers and sisters" can come out during the period, and they do not sleep in sarcophaguses. In fact, they do not sleep at all. They prefer to drink the juice from pets so that they do not have to run and kill folks for their nourishment. They each have special know-hows, such as Shadow Alice who can sometimes see the future, and Edward can read the thoughts of options, except for those of his prefer Bella. There is some action in the story and Edward is the sovereign in horseman shield having to rescue Bella several times in this unusual. "Sunset" is a sweet liaison and a kind take a powder from reality.
