The ending of this periodical really ruined it for me...it goes so far beyond the typical suspension of unbelievingness, requiring the reader to drink a liquid unit of vodka, collapse nasty, and suffer a violent thought laceration and then, sure, the ending might make knowledge.
A great western novel that is decently written, but great for going back to the days of "real men."
Liked this so much more than I expected, especially the terse, tough composition. Not exposed to much Hemingway, curious now to discover more. As far as enjoyment, I did very much like it, but still a child unconvinced of its implication or lodge in the literary cannon. More research required.
