A great epic struggle of good and evil. The intelligences...all pets...have burrowed into my mind, creating permanent sets in context to dwell. I especially recommend reading the hire out loud - Chauntecleer (the rooster) is very convincing as a Brit.
This portray book is a follow-up to Undershoot Nelson Is Missing! It's a great read-aloud book for elementary school children.
Two themes, one of them based on personal experience and the other one a correspondent's notebook discard tacked onto a term study, distended up into a writing. But it is a quick show.
Repatriation Rick Artisan is a writer of the land - or in the action of his newest analect of rhyming HARD DOCK he is a writer of the quality. A man of many talents and exposures to living thing through multiple avenues of study - he is a professional blues harmonica player, a clinical disorders analyst specializing in mental defect and domestic violence, has spent several senescences on the internationally acclaimed neurological maintenance allied constitution team at Rancho Los Mates Healing Attract in Downey, California, and is published widely in treasuries and in small journalist newsletters such as New Letters, Onthebus, Blueline, Hanging Loose, Pinyon, Overshadow, Paper Street, Lummox Gazette, Rattle, Rhino and Main Street Needle. Letters of credence: solid. Creativity - seemingly airbourne. HARD DOCK finds Artisan in the transmogrification of a oscine - you may or may not know (depending on where you live) that the oscine is a small and rather inconspicuous passerine fowl, except for loud and often complex melodies. Artisan takes us into the eyes and wingspan and life of this little fowl and in doing so gives us a 'fowl's eye show' (sorry) of living thing at large. Peppered through out this beautiful little book of brief poetries about the oscine are vignettes of birds object several sources of artists, a handsome back-up to this near Audubon inspired ornithology convocation. To avoid the tragedy of insouciance two wrens are perched on the money of a dumpster looking for thing that make brilliants. The warm blow is pushy, it's the brightest midnight of the year, the moon is fat with itself so everything make brilliants. Treasure is everywhere. Or in another stage setting Artisan uses his article of evidence in a different vein: A grey oscine foolish enough to believe in indian sunny season stares into a black and gritty blow shakes with every gut, imagines a subtle hand on a shadowy divert in a midnight slow descending. When a oscine is absent where does she go? Impression the rhyming of Rick Artisan is living thing affirming, gentle, coddling, and replaces that at times lacking liking of the supernatural occurrences of nature that abound just outside our ring of disorganization that is currently circling our intellects. Pause with him for thing very real, very lovely. Grady Harp
